فرمالین 10%

Formalin 10% Solution is an aqueous solution of formaldehyde gas (typically about 37–40% formaldehyde in water, diluted to 10% for laboratory use). It is one of the most widely used fixatives in histology and pathology for preserving biological tissues by preventing decomposition and stabilizing cellular structures. The solution is clear and has a strong, pungent odor.

10% Formalin is prepared by diluting concentrated formaldehyde solution with distilled water, often with the addition of a small amount of methanol to prevent polymerization. The final working solution contains approximately 4% formaldehyde, which is the active fixing agent used in biological applications.

Formalin 10% is widely used in histology and pathology for tissue fixation, where it preserves cellular structure and prevents autolysis and decay.
